Aggie Alumni elections
It's time to elect new alumni to lead the executive team for the next two years. If you are interested in fulfilling a position for the 2018-2020 term, please complete the form below. Detailed role descriptions are listed below the form.
In order to run for an executive board role you must:
- Pay your chapter dues no later than August 31, 2018
- Be able to commit to at least 2-3 hours/week to carrying out your role
- Attend board meetings as agreed upon by the executive board
Once you complete the form, nominees will be voted on during the 4th Annual Alumni Picnic and winners will be announced early August.
All nominations must be completed by Saturday, July 21, 2018.

Executive Board Roles & Descriptions:
President: preside at the Annual Meeting and over all meetings of the Board, the Executive Committee and any Special Meetings of the Association; ensure the mission, goals, and strategic plan of the Association are being carried out as prescribed by the Board and perform duties that pertain to governance and policy matters of the Association
Vice President: shall assist the president in carrying out the programs and activities of the Association and serve in the absence of the president with the same powers and duties as the president
Secretary: responsible for maintaining the permanent minutes of all official meetings of the Association and perform such other duties as are common to the office.
Treasurer: work with the Executive Director or other university appointee and the Budget and Finance Committee to ensure proper account procedures are being carried out, verify the deposit of Association funds in a bank approved by the Board, and shall present a financial report at the Association Annual Meeting and other times as requested.
Annual Giving Campaign Committee: develop a strategic plan to raise funds through individual and chapter giving
Marketing/Communications Committee: partner with staff to oversee a consistent and active communication strategy to all stakeholders for the purposes of program messaging, fundraising, awareness and branding
Community Service Committee: create an environment within the chapter that fosters a commitment to benefiting others by planning and executing events and projects related to serving the community
Membership Committee: monitor all aspects of membership, including bringing in new members, retaining current members, and ensuring that the member experience meets everyone’s expectations
Scholarship: facilitate the chapter scholarship criteria setting, selection and awarding process and work with the University to identify local area students with scholarship needs
Student Recruitment Committee: develop recruitment strategies designed to enroll local students from the DFW to NC A&T State University including managing the chapter's presence at local college/career fairs and increasing the number of certified alumni recruiters to participate in upcoming fairs
Young Alumni Committee: develop strategy to engage young alumni (graduates of the last 10 years) and strengthen the relationship between young alumni and the chapter
