Who are the DFW Aggies?

serving NORTH CAROLINA STYLE “AGGIE pride” in the dfw metroplex

The DFW Aggie Alumni Chapter traces its roots back to the spring of 1991, when 22 proud graduates of North Carolina A&T State University came together with a shared vision: to create a vibrant and supportive community for Aggies living in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Their dedication and commitment led to the official chartering of the chapter on May 8, 1992. Over the years, our chapter has grown into a dynamic network of alumni who continue to honor the legacy of Aggie Pride and excellence.

In 2022, we celebrated our 30th Charter Anniversary — a milestone that highlights three decades of service, leadership, and connection. Throughout our history, we have remained steadfast in our mission to provide meaningful opportunities for community service, professional development, mentorship, and social networking. Whether it’s supporting local initiatives, hosting career-building events, or creating spaces for Aggies to connect and thrive, we take pride in making a positive impact both within our alumni family and the broader Dallas/Fort Worth community.

As ambassadors of North Carolina A&T State University, we work tirelessly to raise awareness of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and showcase the legacy of academic excellence, innovation, and resilience that NC A&T represents. We carry forward the spirit of our alma mater, striving to embody the values and traditions that define what it means to be a true Aggie.

The DFW Aggie Alumni Chapter is one of only two alumni chapters in the great state of Texas, and we proudly serve as a bridge between past, present, and future Aggies. Whether you are a recent graduate, a seasoned professional, or someone looking to reconnect, our chapter welcomes all Aggies to join us as we continue to build community, foster leadership, and celebrate Aggie Pride.
